If you're not aware of Test Pressing's Producer Series, then you need to sack off the RA podcasts and switch off NTS for a few weeks as you're missing a treat.
In a nutshell, each episode focuses on an amazing producer, pulling together key remixes, weird curve ball productions and forgotten obscurities to create awesome time capsules that provide a toe dip into the world of each one. Mad Professor, Martin Hannett, Brian Eno, Trevor Horn are all in there. I had close to transcendental experience, swimming in a cliff top pool in Greece one summer, listening to the Chris Blackwell one. The William Orbit one transported me to somewhere else entirely to my flat in London. Basically they're great (and they'll rinse your back account via Discogs). I'm just flagging them as the latest one, featuring Global Communication, got me out of properly fowl mood. The accompanying text also contains some mega geek insights into the duo's studio set-up. Get on it.
